Three inducted into S&T Academy of Electrical and Computer Engineering
Three electrical and computer engineers with ties to Missouri University of Science and Technology were inducted into the Missouri S&T Academy of Electrical and Computer Engineers during the academy’s induction ceremony, which was held at the Comfort Suites Conference Center in Rolla, Missouri, on April 21. The academy is an advisory group to the Missouri S&T electrical and computer engineering department. Founded in 1980, the academy is composed of alumni and other electrical and computer engineers who have made outstanding contributions to their profession.

Missouri University of Science and Technology doctoral student Cory Brennan, had a hand in all of them.
A project engineer for Azimuth Energy in St. Louis while he works to complete an engineering management Ph.D. under the direction of Dr. Suzanna Long, Brennan got his start as a student project manager for the 2009 Solar House Design Team. And through that he found his calling at Missouri S&T.

KMST releases results of spring membership drive
Public Radio KMST received $63,500 in membership investments during the station’s spring membership drive, which concluded on April 17. Dr. Suzanna Long, interim chair and associate professor of engineering management and systems engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, has been named the 2016 Woman of the Year by Missouri S&T. She was honored during a campus ceremony on Wednesday, April 20.
The Woman of the Year award is given annually in recognition of efforts to improve the campus environment for women and minorities. As part of the award, Long received a $2,000 stipend funded by Missouri S&T graduate Cynthia Tang, founder and former chair of Insight Industries Inc.
