Former NASA astronaut to speak at Missouri S&T

Dr. Sandra Magnus, a former NASA astronaut who was recently elected to the National Academy of Engineering, will talk about her career in engineering and space when she presents “Beyond the Horizon” at 7 p.m. Monday, March 7. The talk will be held in-person and on Zoom from Leach Theatre in Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets, on the Missouri S&T campus. The event is open to the public. Admission is free, but reservations are required for in-person attendance.

Missouri S&T launches free Leadership Express courses addressing topics critical to career advancement

Registration is now open for Leadership Express, a portfolio of free, self-paced online courses taught by experienced Missouri University of Science and Technology faculty. The courses can be taken individually or applied to a credential. Leadership Express is funded by the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund (GEERF), which consists of $3 billion set aside by Congress to be awarded to governor’s offices throughout the country.
