The third film in the Hispanic Film Series offered by the Missouri University of Science and Technology arts, languages, and philosophy department is After Lucia, a Spanish film with English subtitles.

Students from around the world will share their cultures during International Students Day at Missouri University of Science and Technology.
The celebration will be held 3-8 p.m. Sunday, March 13, in the Havener Center on the Missouri S&T campus. It will include a cultural exhibition, performances and a dinner of international foods. This event is open to the public.

A leading voice in the climate change discussion, Dr. G. Wayne Clough, will present the 2016 Stueck Lecture at Missouri University of Science and Technology on Friday, April 22.
Clough, president emeritus of the Georgia Institute of Technology and the immediate past secretary of the Smithsonian Institution, will give a talk titled “Climate Change — An Engineering Grand Challenge for Our Age” at 2:15 p.m., April 22 in Room 125 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall, 1401 N. Pine St. The event is free and open to the public.

New Politics to perform during St. Pat’s celebration at S&T
Alternative rock group New Politics will perform in Rolla as a part of Missouri University of Science and Technology’s 108th annual St. Pat’s celebration. The band will conclude the university’s weeklong celebration with a free concert.

‘Legendary Count Basie Orchestra’ to perform at Leach Theatre
Eighty-one years after William “Count” Basie founded his orchestra in Kansas City, Missouri, the group will perform on the Missouri University of Science and Technology campus as part of the 2015-16 Leach Theatre Campus Performing Arts Series.
The Legendary Count Basie Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, In Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, located at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla.
