Missouri University of Science and Technology’s arts, languages, and philosophy department will present a concert titled “An Evening of Performing Arts” this March. The event will feature performances by students and community members involved in S&T’s performing arts programs.
The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, located at 10th and Main streets in Rolla.
The concert will feature performances by the String Theory Quartet, the “Lost Trails” Blues Trio, the S&T Brass Choir, S&T Winter Drumline and the S&T Video Game Music Ensemble. The S&T Miner Winterguard, the Rolla Renaissance Recorder Ensemble, two woodwind trios, a horn trio and a vocal duet will also perform. The S&T theatre program will give a short performance. Leanne Bissinger, a sophomore in nuclear engineering from Rapid City, South Dakota, will perform a ballet solo. Vocalist Alexis Prothman, a sophomore in electrical engineering from Kansas City, Missouri, will also perform.
Tickets are $5 for the public and free for Missouri S&T students with a valid ID and youth age 18 and younger. Tickets can be purchased 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday from the Leach Theatre Box Office, located in the vestibule inside the main entrance to Leach Theatre, facing 10th Street.
