S&T orchestras to perform first concert of the semester
The Missouri S&T University and Community Symphony Orchestra and the S&T Chamber Orchestra will perform their first concert of the semester at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall. The orchestra will be conducted by Dr. Robert J. Cesario, assistant professor of arts, languages and philosophy.
S&T’s new Fitness Center to be dedicated Oct. 24
The new Fitness Center at Missouri S&T will be dedicated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, near the southwest entrance of the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building. The dedication is open to the public and is part of Missouri S&T’s Homecoming Weekend activities.

A garden created in honor of the late Dr. Gary Thomas, chancellor of Missouri S&T from September 2000 through August 2005, will be formally dedicated at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, in the Brewer Family Atrium in Toomey Hall. The event is open to the public and is part of Missouri S&T’s 2009 Homecoming Weekend activities. Jack Hanna and friends are coming to Rolla
Missouri S&T is bringing “Jungle” Jack Hanna and his favorite animal friends to Rolla as part of its Leach Theatre Family Series. Hanna’s presentation will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall. The Leach Theatre Family Series is presented by the Missouri S&T student affairs department.
KMST fall membership drive to begin Oct. 3
Public radio station KMST at Missouri S&T begins its Fall Membership Drive at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, with its popular bluegrass program, “Bluegrass for a Saturday Night.” The drive runs through the following Sunday, Oct. 11.
