S&T orchestras to perform first concert of the semester

The Missouri S&T University and Community Symphony Orchestra and the S&T Chamber Orchestra will perform their first concert of the semester at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall. The orchestra will be conducted by Dr. Robert J. Cesario, assistant professor of arts, languages and philosophy.


Thumbnail image for Flute&Notes-Horizontal.jpg Tickets are $3 for the general public and free for S&T students. They can be purchased at the door the night of the performance.

The Chamber Orchestra will begin the program with Fanfare, by Jason Roberto, followed by Four American Folk Tunes, by Samuel Adler, and Folk Tune and Fiddle Dance, by Percy E. Fletcher. The Symphony Orchestra will play Rimsky Korsakov’s exciting Capriccio Espagnol, which features several solo performances, and Felix Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 5, Reformation.
