Homecoming at Missouri University of Science and Technology is Oct. 23-25. The theme for Homecoming 2009 is “Miners of the Round Table.”

Friday, Oct. 23
— Registration, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Alumni Lounge, 107 Castleman Hall
— Missouri S&T Archives’ “Memories” display, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Curtis Laws Wilson Library
— Dedication of the Gary Thomas Memorial Garden, 4 p.m., northwest corner of Toomey Hall
— Alumni Silver and Gold Gathering, 4-8 p.m., Alumni Lounge, 107 Castleman Hall; barbeque chicken and pulled pork, drinks; meet department chairs, faculty and student design teams; tickets required.
— Keynote address, Dr. Sandra Magnus, a NASA astronaut and Missouri S&T graduate, 8 p.m., Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall. Magnus will speak about life aboard the International Space Station. The lecture is free but tickets are required. Tickets will be available to the public beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at the Leach Theatre Box Office. Tickets are limited to two per person. The Miner Alumni Association will provide tickets to all Missouri S&T Alumni who register for the Silver and Gold Feaste and Merriment by Friday, Oct. 16.
Saturday, Oct. 24

— Kick-Off Tailgate Party, 11 a.m., Allgood-Bailey Stadium; tickets required
— Football game, Miners vs. University of Saint Francis, 1 p.m., Allgood-Bailey Stadium; tickets required
— Alumni rugby game vs. current Missouri S&T Rugby Club members, 1 p.m., Fraternity Row across from the intramural fields
— Alumni Association Miner Legends Banquet, 6-9 p.m., Matt’s Steakhouse.
Sunday, Oct. 25
— Missouri S&T Advisory Committee for African-American Recruitment and Retention meeting, 1 p.m., Havener Center.
