The 52nd annual Asphalt Conference will be held at Missouri S&T on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 8-9. The conference will be held in the St. Pat’s Ballroom of the Havener Center.
Presentations will focus on intelligent compaction; construction factors influencing durability; specification trends in large commercial projects; new pay factor weighting factors; available inspector training; conversion of non-Superpave mixes to gyratory basis; the role of consultants and commercial labs in today’s projects; Plant 201: making RAP, shingle, and warm mixes; pavement failure forensics panel; microsurfacing versus overlay; cold in-place recycling: candidate selection; chip seal performance; porous asphalt; quarry and paving contractor interaction; binder from plants; and a Missouri Department of Transportation specification and research update.
Organizers say the conference will be of interest to contractors, public agencies, consulting engineers, testing labs, aggregate producers, asphalt binder suppliers and equipment technical representatives.
