Missouri S&T works to increase diversity in computer science

Missouri University of Science and Technology is one of 15 schools selected by the Anita Borg Institute (ABI), a nonprofit organization focused on advancing women in computing, and Harvey Mudd College to participate in a new program designed to increase the percentage of undergraduate computer science majors who are female or students of color.

S&T receives $3 million from NSF to train cybersecurity experts

Researchers at Missouri University of Science and Technology are working to combat threats to cybersecurity by training the next generation of experts in the field. With a $3 million grant from the National Science Foundation, Missouri S&T’s computer science department will fund approximately 16 “Scholarship for Service” master of science and Ph.D. students, who will specialize in cybersecurity.
