Missouri S&T will present the next event in the 2008-09 School Outreach Program, “Jason and the Argonauts,” at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, and at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25. The performances will be held in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla, Mo. The 9:30 performance on Nov. 24 is sold out; however, tickets remain for the other two shows. All tickets are $3.50 each.

Tickets remain for the Reduced Shakespeare Company’s “The Complete History of America (abridged),” a special event that will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall on the Missouri S&T campus, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. Tickets are $28 for adults, $18 for youth and $8 for Missouri S&T students. S&T students can charge admission to student accounts.

The Missouri S&T Alumna and Woman Student of the Year Committee announced its 2008 award winners during an Oct. 17 ceremony in the campus’s Havener Center.
Cynthia L. Tharp, assistant director of the university’s writing center, received the Missouri S&T 2008 Alumna of the Year Award. This honor recognizes demonstrated commitment of an alumna to enhance the lives of women.
‘Lost boys of Sudan’ to speak at S&T on Wednesday
Three former “lost boys of Sudan” and their American mentor will speak at Missouri S&T at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, in the Student Recreation Center of Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building, 705 W. 10th St. in Rolla. The lecture is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m.
