Lights, camera, action! Movie Makers camp open for registration
Registration is now open for Movie Makers, an evening camp offered by the Kummer Center for STEM Education at Missouri S&T. Movie Makers takes place 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, through Saturday, June 24. The camp is open to students entering grades 5-12. Tuition for the camp is $400, which includes all activities, supplies and meals. Full scholarships are available.

Missouri S&T will host four in-person summer camps in addition to its already announced virtual camps. All S&T campers can practice team-building and social skills while learning what it takes to have a career in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.

The COVID-19 pandemic did not allow Missouri S&T to host its popular summer camps for elementary and high school students in person during the summer of 2020. As a result, S&T held its first-ever virtual summer camp focused on space. The camp culminated in a satellite launch event to witness more than a dozen camper-built small satellites travel 100,000 feet into the air on a high-altitude balloon. Campers tracked the flight in August and later received images and data captured by the satellites from the edge of space.

Missouri University of Science and Technology will host its 43rd annual Joe Miner Sports Camp May 29-June 1. The camp is designed for children entering grades three through eight in the fall of 2018.

Spaces still available for Missouri S&T Aerospace Camp
Parents can still register their students for the three-day Aerospace Camp at Missouri S&T. The camp will be held July 17-19. Students should be age 10 to 13 on or before the first day of camp.
