Students can still register for two new camps this summer – Solar Architecture and Green Engineering and Girls Save the Planet at Missouri S&T.
At the camps, students will learn how their math and science skills can impact the future and what tools they can use to bring about innovation through engineering. Campers will participate in hands-on activities and team design competitions while making new friends and experiencing campus life.
The Solar Architecture and Green Engineering Camp is for high school sophomores and juniors and will be held June 16-20. Campers will get behind-the-scenes look at solar structures, geothermal systems and wind power.
Girls Save the Planet Camp is for eighth-, ninth- and tenth-grade girls and will be held July 14-18. Campers will explore nature, learn how individuals’ choices impact our planet and find innovative ways to preserve the environment.
Registration fees for these two camps range from $600 to $650 for each camp and cover meals, activities and supplies, with housing available to non-commuters. Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the S&T campus. Discounts are available for children of current university employees. Register online at summer.mst.edu.
