Missouri S&T solar house to be featured in Julia Child-inspired book

The Nest Home, Missouri University of Science and Technology’s entry into last year’s U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon, will be featured in the upcoming book “In Julia’s Kitchen: Practical and Convivial Kitchen Design Inspired by Julia Child.” The book, authored by Pamela Heyne and Jim Scherer and published by the University Press of New England, will be released Tuesday, Oct. 4.

26 new faculty join Missouri S&T this fall

Missouri University of Science and Technology will begin its fall semester with 26 new faculty members. Missouri S&T has seen significant enrollment growth in recent years, but faculty and staff numbers have not kept pace. As part of an initiative to hire 100 new faculty in all areas of the university by 2020, Missouri S&T has now filled 42 new faculty lines and has additional active searches underway. An additional faculty member has negotiated to join Missouri S&T in 2017.
