Dr. Irina Ivliyeva, assistant professor of Russian in the arts, languages and philosophy department at Missouri University of Science and Technology, has been named 2012 Woman of the Year by Missouri S&T. She was honored during a campus ceremony on Wednesday, April 18.

Photo contest to celebrate S&T landmark
It’s been a decade since the Millennium Arch was installed on the lawn of Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Castleman Hall. To commemorate the event, a contest is being held for the best photographs of the landmark, with $500 in prizes to be awarded in each of four categories. The contest is sponsored by the Missouri S&T Campus Art Committee and the New York Foundation for the Arts.
