Tribute planned for S&T’s Shakespearean scholar Knight

Missouri University of Science and Technology’s department of arts, languages and philosophy, and Arts Rolla! will host a tribute to Dr. W. Nicholas Knight, professor emeritus of English and technical communication at S&T. The event will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, in the Parish Hall of Christ Episcopal Church, 10th and Main streets, in Rolla.

Dr. Jerry Cohen, professor of arts, languages and philosophy at S&T will begin the event by briefly discussing Knight’s research on Shakespeare, followed by Knight himself discussing his research in more detail.

“Dr. Knight has made several major contributions to our understanding of Shakespeare’s plays,” says Cohen.

“His work is really significant, and we’re fortunate to have him with us here in Rolla.”

The tribute is event is free and open to the public.
