Cassandra Elrod named chair of Missouri S&T’s business and information technology department

Missouri S&T has appointed Dr. Cassandra C. Elrod chair of its business and information technology (BIT) department, effective immediately. Elrod, who joined the S&T faculty in 2008, is associate professor of business and information technology. She was appointed acting chair of the department in January 2022; she has served as interim chair since May 2022.

Dr. Tim Faley, associate vice chancellor for innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialization, will become interim vice provost and dean of the Kummer College, effective March 1. Dr. Susan Murray, acting vice provost and dean of the Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development, will become interim vice provost for online education at Missouri S&T, also effective March 1.

Missouri S&T’s second annual “trashion” show celebrates creative expression of sustainability

During the second annual “trashion” show, teams of S&T students will model garments they’ve designed and made using materials that are at least 90 percent reused and recycled and are considered neither dangerous nor harmful. The event starts at noon Thursday, April 6, in the atrium of the Havener Center.

Registration open for this year’s summer camps at Missouri S&T

With the opening of registration for Missouri S&T’s summer camps, the 2023 camp season is officially underway in Rolla with more opportunities to meet growing demand from elementary, middle school and high school students. Donald Wunsch to receive pioneer award from Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
