Missouri S&T mucking teams finish strong in international competition

Engineering students from Missouri S&T finished strong in the recent Intercollegiate Mining Competition in Rolla. As the host university, Missouri S&T welcomed student teams from across the United States and around the world as they competed in events based on mining techniques from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Missouri S&T students forge a win at international bladesmithing competition

Overcoming hurdle after hurdle, a group of Missouri S&T students won the grand prize at the 2022 Wadsworth-Sherby TMS Bladesmithing Contest, an international competition sponsored by The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS). The students designed and handcrafted a sword, filmed a video, designed a poster and wrote a report about their process.
