Missouri S&T announces Undergraduate Research Conference winners
The winners of the 11th annual Undergraduate Research Conference have been announced at Missouri University of Science and Technology. The conference, which was held in mid-April, featured oral and poster exhibitions that represented nearly every major at Missouri S&T. Winners received a cash prize of $750. Second- and third-place finishers received $500 and $250, respectively.

Missouri S&T design team to race aerodynamic trike in Florida
A team of students from Missouri University of Science and Technology will travel to Gainesville, Florida, this month to race an aerodynamically fitted recumbent trike against collegiate teams from across the nation in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers 2015 Human Powered Vehicle Challenge East Coast Competition.

Missouri S&T theater directing students to present two comedies
Students in a theater directing class at Missouri University of Science and Technology will make their directorial debut with presentations of “Superheroes: With Great Power Comes Ordinary Responsibility” and “All I Need to Know I Learned from Being a Zombie” during combined presentations this May. The course is being taught by Jeanne Stanley, assistant professor of theater at Missouri S&T.

Schonberg selected for 2015 Distinguished Scientist Award
Dr. William P. Schonberg, chair and professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, has been selected as the recipient of the 2015 Distinguished Scientist Award from the Hypervelocity Impact Society. He was selected for his leadership, innovation, and technical excellence in hypervelocity research.
