A total of 58 current and former faculty of Missouri S&T are among the top researchers in their field as measured by their career research records, and 72 current or former Missouri S&T researchers were among the best in their fields in 2022, according to a recent analysis of standardized citation indicators of the Elsevier Data Repository published by Stanford University.

Cancer screening could soon be as simple as giving a urine sample using a patented device developed by a Missouri University of Science and Technology researcher. This week, Wyoming-based Cancer.im Inc., a Viratech Corp. company (Symbol: VIRA) and social network for cancer patients, survivors and caretakers, announced an agreement with Missouri S&T to commercialize the device.

A Missouri University of Science and Technology researcher has developed a new screening method that uses urinalysis to diagnose breast cancer – and determine its severity – before it could be detected with a mammogram.
