NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong is credited as saying, “Shoot for the stars, but if you happen to miss, shoot for the moon instead.” So far, Coleman Goulding, a student at Missouri S&T, is taking that advice to heart, and he now has a $15,000 scholarship and a keynote speaking engagement to prove it.

Cassandra Elrod named chair of Missouri S&T’s business and information technology department

Missouri S&T has appointed Dr. Cassandra C. Elrod chair of its business and information technology (BIT) department, effective immediately. Elrod, who joined the S&T faculty in 2008, is associate professor of business and information technology. She was appointed acting chair of the department in January 2022; she has served as interim chair since May 2022.
