Public interest technology refers to a set of practices that guide the design, deployment and governance of technology in ways that advance the public interest. The award, which is for a project led by Dr. Casey Canfield, assistant professor of engineering management and systems engineering, spans 18 months and is S&T’s first grant from PIT-UN since joining the organization in August.
