Story submitted by S&T students for the CASE dean’s April newsletter:
The Society for Technical Communication (STC), Missouri S&T Chapter has constituted a new
executive team to pilot the affairs of the group. The new STC team includes Felix T. Nyikwagh
(President), Frederick Sunkpal (Vice President), Jude Enete (Public Relations Officer), and
Daniel Agbo (Treasurer). The new team will be working with the chapter’s new Faculty Advisor,
Dr. David Wright.
Felix Nyikwagh (President): Felix holds degrees in Theatre Arts from Benue State University,
Makurdi, Nigeria and University of Ibadan, Nigeria.. Before starting the MS degree program in
technical communication at Missouri S&T, he worked remotely as SME Outreach and
Communication Consultant on USAID/Nigeria Covid19 Food Security Challenge for Resonance
Inc., a consulting company based in Washington DC and at the same time was a Team Lead for
Agriwaves Media, a communication company based in Abuja, Nigeria.
Frederick Sunkpal (Vice President): Holds a B.A in Economics and is currently a master’s
student in Technical Communication. He previously worked at Deutsche Gesellschaft für
Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) for the German Federal Ministry for Economic
Cooperation and Development in Ghana. He is the co-founder of Ghana-based agricultural
startup company, Influx Groundnuts Products Limited.
Jude Enete (Public Relations Officer): Holds a BSC in Geology from the University of
Nigeria Nsukka and is currently an S&T master’s student in both the Technical Communication
and Geology and Geophysics programs. He is the co-founder of Nigeria-based technology
startup company, Nestuge, a productivity tool automating commerce processes for online
courses, communities, and events.
Daniel Agbo (Treasurer): Holds a BSC in Statistics/Computer Science from the University of
Agriculture, Makurdi, Nigeria and is currently a master’s student in Technical Communication.
Prior to his program at S&T, he was a Data Analyst at Jaiz Bank, Nigeria.
Dr. David Wright (Faculty Advisor): He received a Bachelor of Science in Organizational
Psychology in 1992, a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration in 1995, and a
Ph.D. in Technical Communication in 2007—all from Oklahoma State University. His
dissertation, “Technology Diffusion and the Beef Industry: A Communication Investigation,” is a
study of the effects of communication networks on technology diffusion in the cattle industry
and the efforts of the USDA to promote animal identification within the cattle industry. His
research interests include technology diffusion, communication networks, and rhetoric of
science.
The Society for Technical Communication (STC) is a professional association dedicated to the
advancement of technical communication across all fields. Technical communicators research
and create information about technical processes or products directed to a targeted audience
through various forms of media.
