Thirty-one faculty members in the University of Missouri-Rolla School of Extended Learning were recognized for outstanding teaching in distance courses during a ceremony on campus April 27.

Dr. Daniel Stutts, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla, is one of nine U.S. researchers selected to participate in this year’s Boeing A.D. Welliver Faculty Summer Fellowship program.

Two electrical and computer engineers were inducted into the Academy of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Missouri-Rolla during the academy’s annual meeting Friday, April 8.

Fourteen engineering management professionals were honored by the University of Missouri-Rolla when they were inducted into UMR’s newly formed Academy of Engineering Management Thursday, April 14. One person was elected as an honorary member.

Ten chemical engineers with ties to the University of Missouri-Rolla were inducted into the UMR Academy of Chemical Engineers during the academy’s induction ceremony April 21 at the Havener Center on campus. One member was inducted posthumously.

The Office of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies at the University of Missouri-Rolla has announced seven winners of 2004-2005 Outstanding Academic Advisor Awards.

The University of Missouri-Rolla Human-Powered Vehicle Team won its fourth-straight championship in the East Coast Human-Powered Vehicle Challenge April 23 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Nineteen faculty members at the University of Missouri-Rolla will receive promotions or tenure effective Sept. 1. Those faculty members are:
