View ‘The Red Planet’ at S&T’s Observatory
The community is invited to view the moon and Mars through Missouri University of Science and Technology’s 16-inch telescope beginning at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, weather permitting. Mars is called “The Red Planet” for its reddish appearance due to iron oxide on its surface.

The 2010 St. Pat’s Parade in downtown Rolla is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 13. Rolla residents and students from Missouri University of Science and Technology have officially been celebrating St. Pat’s for 102 years.
