Off-campus programs help keep S&T’s enrollment at record levels

The first day of classes at Missouri University of Science and Technology began on Monday, Aug. 22, with 7,271 students, an increase of 319 students. Nearly half of the new students are enrolled in the university’s distance education programs, a growth of 27.4 percent over last year’s numbers. On-campus enrollment has increased 2.6 percent.

Ameren establishes S&T scholarship to raise diversity in engineering

A gift to Missouri University of Science and Technology from Ameren Corp. will provide $50,000 a year for 16 scholarships to build diversity in engineering and science. The gift ranks as the third largest annual scholarship program ever created at Missouri S&T.

Annual shrimp feed scheduled for Aug. 27

The Central Ozarks Section of the Miner Alumni Association at Missouri University of Science and Technology and the Rolla Chapter of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE) will hold their annual shrimp feed on Saturday, Aug. 27, at pavilion 5 of Lions Club Park on U.S. Highway 63 in Rolla. Pavilion 5 is located at the front of the park. The event begins with a social hour at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m.

Online graduate programs receive funding at S&T
