Entrepreneurial students have new opportunity for business model and plan training, start-up money

Missouri S&T students with entrepreneurial visions can advance their ideas and win prize money by participating in the Entrepreneur Quest (EQ) Student Accelerator, a new University of Missouri System program that kicks off with an informational workshop presented by Dr. Bonnie Bachman, professor of economics at Missouri S&T, 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, in Room G-2 of the Interdisciplinary Engineering Building (IDE).

Fall enrollment at Missouri S&T tops 8,600

The fall 2018 enrollment at Missouri University of Science and Technology, officially recorded at the end of the semester’s fourth week, is 8,607. This is a 3.1 percent decrease over last year’s fall enrollment of 8,884, says Deanne Jackson, Missouri S&T registrar.

Student-run detective noir comedy keeps you guessing ‘til the end

Missouri S&T’s collegiate theater society presents its 2018 play this month – a comedic parody of classic detective murder mystery films. Performances of “Kill Me, Deadly” will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, Friday, Sept. 28, and Saturday, Sept. 29, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Black Box Theatre in Room 143 Castleman Hall, located at the corner of 10th and Main streets in Rolla.

S&T library general public hours change

Missouri S&T’s Curtis Laws Wilson Library is changing its hours to better serve the students of S&T and the local community. As a part of this change, community guest services for the general public will now begin at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. on weekends and will end at 8 p.m. daily.

Missouri S&T dedicates Rolla mural for public display

Missouri S&T will officially dedicate the “Rolla Mural,” a work of art that depicts more than 100 years of local history, during a public ceremony at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, followed by a reception on the second floor of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library at 400 W. 14th St. on the Missouri S&T campus in Rolla. The event is open to the public.
