Saad Alsaihan, 20, a freshman in petroleum engineering at Missouri S&T, died as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018. He was from Kuwait City, Kuwait.
The accident occurred at 12:20 p.m. on Missouri Highway 72 at County Road 4070, approximately 4 miles east of Rolla.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Alsaihan’s vehicle was on the southbound shoulder of Highway 72, then attempted to make a U-turn, crossing into the path of another vehicle. Alsaihan was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in Alsaihan’s vehicle, Almujaweb Abdulhadi, a Temple University student, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Phelps County Regional Medical Center.
