Missouri University of Science and Technology will host the Missouri Region 8 History Day contest Friday, Feb. 21, at the Havener Center. More than 120 students from schools in a seven-county area of the state will participate. This year’s theme is “Rights and Responsibilities in History.”

‘The Fantasticks’ is coming to Leach Theatre
The Nebraska Theatre Caravan is making a stop on its national tour to perform “The Fantasticks” at Missouri University of Science and Technology this February. It is the seventh performance in the 2013-14 Missouri S&T Campus Performing Arts Series.

A carnival that has celebrated Independence Day in Rolla, Mo., for nearly 80 years is the subject of Carnival, Man, a documentary that will premiere at Missouri University of Science and Technology as part of the campus’s 2014 Free Spring Film Festival.

‘Cyber Membership Week’ to kick off KMST drive
Public radio station KMST’s annual Spring Cyber Membership Drive will be held Feb. 15-21 on its website, kmst.org, followed by the station’s membership drive, which will be broadcast live on KMST Feb. 22 through March 2. The drive’s goal is $70,000.
