Environmental biotechnology expert to present 2012 Stueck Lecture at S&T

Dr. Bruce Rittmann, an international leader in assessing microbial communities, spends his time motivating his “many little friends” to do what he wants through engineering and biotechnology applications. In an upcoming lecture at Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rittmann will discuss ways his interdisciplinary research is improving conditions around the world and leading to new ways to clean up pollution, treat water and wastewater, capture renewable energy and improve human health.

S&T to break ground on geothermal energy project

During the week leading up to Earth Day, Missouri University of Science and Technology officials will break ground on a geothermal energy project that is expected to reduce the campus’s carbon dioxide emissions by 25,000 tons a year while cutting annual energy use in half.

Garden gnomes version of classic comes to Leach Theatre

William Shakespeare’s revered love story gets a comical and offbeat makeover with garden gnomes in “Gnomeo & Juliet.” The computer-animated family comedy will be shown at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, as part of the Leach Theatre Family Film Series at Missouri University of Science and Technology. S&T orchestras to perform spring concert March 11

S&T students to host ShamRockin’ 5K to increase AIDS awareness
