Missouri University of Science and Technology’s Engineering Education Center (EEC) located in St. Louis has changed its name to Missouri S&T Global-St. Louis. The change, which took effect in December 2015, reflects the growing role of Missouri S&T in the global market.

Enrollment for the first day of classes at Missouri University of Science and Technology was 7,931, a 2.9 percent increase from last year’s first day of spring enrollment, says Deanne Jackson, Missouri S&T registrar. This is the 14th consecutive year of enrollment increases.

Dr. Caprice Moore, director of operations for the George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology at Webster University, has been named associate provost of administration at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Her appointment began Monday, Jan. 11. Moore will assist Missouri S&T Provost Robert Marley in directing and managing both short- and long-term critical priorities, initiatives and activities that support Missouri S&T’s strategic teaching and research efforts. The position, which is housed in the provost’s office, is an upgraded one and the result of a restructuring effort to better serve the department’s constituents.
