Dr. Caprice Moore, director of operations for the George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology at Webster University, has been named associate provost of administration at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Her appointment began Monday, Jan. 11.
Moore will assist Missouri S&T Provost Robert Marley in directing and managing both short- and long-term critical priorities, initiatives and activities that support Missouri S&T’s strategic teaching and research efforts.
The position, which is housed in the provost’s office, is an upgraded one and the result of a restructuring effort to better serve the department’s constituents.
“Dr. Moore has a passion for education and she’s demonstrated a commitment to championing diverse issues,” says Dr. Robert Marley, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs at Missouri S&T. “Her extensive background in higher education at the executive level, combined with experience in business, human resources and legal documentation are an excellent match to our needs. I’m very excited to have Dr. Moore join our team.”
At Webster University, Moore oversaw day-to-day operations of the business school worldwide with three academic units – business, management, and math and computer science.
She joined Webster University in 1999 as an administrative associate in the School of Education. In 2004, she was named director of operations for the George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology. In 2013, she served as the school’s interim director of communications, and from 2013-14, she served as director of operations for Webster University’s Downtown St. Louis Campus at the Old Post Office.
Moore earned a doctor of management degree from Webster University in 2015. She earned a master of arts degree in gerontology in 2007 and a bachelor of arts degree in human resource management in 2003, both from Webster University.
Moore currently serves on the board of Neighborhood Houses, a non-profit agency that helps children reach their potential through education. She is a member of the Human Resources Association and the Bar Association of St. Louis Missouri.
