Boeing Corp. has donated $250,000 to the University of Missouri-Rolla to support scholarships for women, minorities and financially disadvantaged students. The donation from Boeing, which is the largest employer of UMR graduates, will also help support the UMR Student Design Center, the electrical and computer engineering departments, and minority student associations on campus.

As a business partner and advisor to some of the competitors for the Ansari X Prize, a challenge involving privately funded suborbital flight, Tuck had more than a passing interest.
