When ultra-strong steel parts are made for vehicles, military equipment and heavy manufacturing, a single crack or distortion during production can lead to costly delays and wasted materials. A recent Missouri S&T Ph.D. graduate says his research offers new methods to potentially reduce these issues.
Dr. David Enke, Professor of engineering management and systems engineering, has been named associate dean of the Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development at Missouri S&T.
Dr. Shelley D. Minteer, founding director of the Kummer Institute Center for Resource Sustainability and professor of chemistry, earned the 2026 Manuel M. Baizer award of the Electrochemical Society.
