S&T publishes first edition of peer-reviewed journal

Undergraduate students at Missouri University of Science and Technology now have the opportunity to publish their research in a peer-reviewed journal called “Peer to Peer.” The journal, which includes peer-reviewed research articles written by undergraduates who were enrolled in English 1160 the spring 2015 semester, published its first issue in February.

Adobe partnership benefits technical communication at Missouri S&T

Missouri University of Science and Technology has recently partnered with Adobe Systems Inc. to provide students and faculty in the technical communication program with hands-on access to industry-standard software. Courtesy of its University Outreach Program, Adobe Systems Inc. has provided Missouri S&T with a free license for its Technical Communication Suite 5 collection of software programs, each of which technical communication students are likely to encounter in their future jobs as technical writers and communicators.

One Book program at Missouri S&T to focus on community and social acceptance

The national bestseller “Outcasts United” has been selected for Missouri University of Science and Technology’s 2015 One Book program. Approximately 1,200 freshman students will be expected to read the book during the summer before they arrive on campus. It will then be taught in all sections of English 1120, a required course for most Missouri S&T students.
