Dr. Niranjana Krishnan, an assistant research professor in biological sciences at Missouri University of Science and Technology, says that certain insecticides are better than others for minimally impacting animal habitats. The award was presented Thursday, May 6, in a virtual ceremony hosted by the department of arts, languages, and philosophy, and includes a $1,000 prize.
