Women – learn to wrap traditional Indian saris

Area women are invited to learn to wrap traditional Indian saris at Missouri University of Science and Technology on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The Sari Wrap Party will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Southwestern Bell Cultural Center, 1207 N. Elm. St. The event will include henna tattoos for a nominal fee, refreshments and a limited number of saris available for purchase.

Students in custody following minor explosions

But it takes a little longer – about 2.6 seconds – for a user’s eyes to land on that area of a website that most influences their first impression.

399th Army Band to join S&T bands for free concert Feb. 19

Music lovers are in for a treat when the 399th Army Band from Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., joins Missouri University of Science and Technology Symphonic Band and Wind Symphony for a free concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19. The concert will be held in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. A free-will offering will be taken for the Missouri S&T band program.

Police give ‘all clear’ after S&T emergency notification

University Police officers at Missouri University of Science and Technology have given the official “all clear” message to campus following the issuance of an emergency mass notification message reporting an armed person heading toward the S&T campus. The campus is open and classes will continue as scheduled.
