The mine rescue team from Missouri University of Science and Technology earned second place in the novice division of a national simulated mine emergency competition. The novice category is for teams competing at a national event for the first time. The team also earned fifth place in the first aid division.

Missouri S&T receives NSF funding to study climate variability
Missouri University of Science and Technology is one of nine institutions in a research consortium that received a $20 million grant from the National Science Foundation.
