Missouri S&T’s community orchestra seeks members

2008 11 16 wind symphony edit file DSC_3236University students and community members who are musicians are invited to join the University and Community Symphony Orchestra at Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Those interested in joining are invited to visit the orchestra’s first practice at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, in Room 137 Castleman Hall at Missouri S&T.

Those who play stringed instruments are invited to join the orchestra without an audition. Percussion, brass and woodwind players are invited to audition.

Practices are 7-9:30 p.m. on Mondays. Join the group and perform a variety of musical selections on the Leach Theatre stage.

“We hope to bolster the orchestra’s ranks this season and would welcome new talents,” says Dr. Robert J. Cesario, conductor and assistant professor of arts, languages and philosophy.
