This year’s highlights include performances by the Caribbean-style steel drum Banana Oil Pan Band and the Springfield Kiltie Band on bagpipes. The first day of classes at Missouri University of Science and Technology began Monday, Aug. 20. Enrollment on the first day was 7,406, an increase of nearly 2 percent from fall 2011 first-day enrollment of 7,271.

Stewart to retire from S&T library

Maggie Trish, assistant director for library technical services, will serve as interim director during the search for a permanent successor.
