Celebration of Nations to celebrate its 5th year

The group will perform at the free festival following the international parade on Saturday, Sept. 27. They will also offer two bluegrass education sessions during the festival.

Students, faculty from around the world attend workshop

An international group of participants recently attended a four-day workshop hosted by the RE-CAST (Research on Concrete Application for Sustainable Transportation) University Transportation Center. The workshop focused on the fundamentals of rheology and application on cement-based materials. Rheology involves flow behavior of material that cannot be measured with traditional workability methods.

Students to participate in national mine rescue competition

A mine rescue team from Missouri University of Science and Technology will compete in the 2014 National Metal and Nonmetal Mine Rescue Contest that will be held Aug. 4-7 in Lexington, Kentucky. Students from Missouri S&T and one other university will compete against 36 professional teams.
