Concrete Conference to be held in April at S&T
Missouri University of Science and Technology will host the annual Missouri Concrete Conference April 26-27 in the Havener Center on campus. Conference registration is $130 per person. Attendees to the American Concrete Institute luncheon are asked to pre-register online. The cost for the luncheon is $18 per person.

Hundreds of tech-savvy high school students from throughout Missouri and western Illinois will put their robotic creations to the test on Saturday, Feb. 25, during the FIRST Tech Challenge, a regional robotics championship for high school students hosted by Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Curious George next family film at S&T
The mischievous and lovable Curious George gets animated in this 2006 adaptation of the first in the series of beloved books by H.A. and Margret Rey. The film will be shown at Missouri University of Science and Technology at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, in Leach Theatre of Missouri S&T’s Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla, Mo., as part of the Leach Theatre Family Film Series.

The national tour of The Color Purple: The Musical about Love will make a stop at Missouri University of Science and Technology at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, in Leach Theatre of Castleman Hall on the university campus, 10th and Main streets in Rolla.
See Jupiter at S&T’s observatory Jan. 27
The public is invited to view Jupiter and the moon through Missouri University of Science and Technology’s 16-inch telescope on Friday, Jan. 27. The Missouri S&T Observatory will open its doors at 7 p.m. The sky must be clear for observing and session length will vary.

S&T students participate in day of service Jan. 16
Students at Missouri University of Science and Technology will volunteer throughout the local community on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 16, as part of a national day of service. This is the fourth year Missouri S&T students have participated in the program.
