S&T to test emergency alert system Oct. 5

Missouri S&T will conduct a test of its emergency mass notification system at noon Wednesday, Oct. 5. The test will include a text message to students and employees that reads, “This is a test of the Missouri S&T emergency mass notification system. This is only a test.” Recipients will also receive the message through voice call and email, and it will pop up on computer screens connected to the S&T network.

S&T announces new need-based scholarship for Missouri students

Missouri S&T is launching the Solving for Tomorrow Scholarship for Missouri students to cover all tuition and fees not covered by other scholarships and grants. The new, need-based scholarship is available for first-time freshmen enrolling at Missouri S&T in the fall of 2023.

Missouri S&T starts school year with record percentage of women students, new college

Missouri S&T began classes on Monday, Aug. 22, with the highest percentage of women students in history. The percentage of female students on the first day of classes is 24.2%, which surpasses the previous record percentage of 23.9%, set in 2016 and 2021.

S&T recognized for photography, alumni reunion in international competition

Missouri S&T won a grand gold award – the highest honor possible – for Miner Athletics photography in the portraits category and a bronze award in the special events category for the university’s Virtual Golden Alumni Reunion.
