U.S. News & World Report released its 2025 rankings for public engineering programs today (Tuesday, Sept. 24) and has again listed Missouri S&T as first in the state and among the best in the nation.
“Students come to Missouri S&T because they know they will learn from some of the top experts in the world and can take part in an incredible amount of experiential learning and research,” says Dr. David Borrok, vice provost and dean of S&T’s College of Engineering and Computing. “We provide students with a transformative education and a tremendous return on investment.”
The university maintains its status this year as one of the nation’s top 50 public engineering schools, tying for No. 41. This ranking is for undergraduate engineering programs at schools that offer degrees up to the doctoral level.
S&T also tied as the No. 2 public school in the nation for a U.S. News metric focused on alumni salaries and tied for No. 4 among both public and private institutions.
The U.S. News rankings follow several other recent national accolades for S&T.
Earlier this month, The Wall Street Journal and College Pulse ranked Missouri S&T as the No. 2 public university in the nation for “Best Salaries” and No. 9 overall in that category, while Money Magazine listed S&T as one of the nation’s top colleges in its “Best Colleges 2024” profiles.
In another report, Princeton Review listed S&T as one of the nation’s best public universities when it comes to career placement for its graduates, student internships and overall value.
