Missouri S&T wins 11 awards from CASE

Missouri S&T received two Circle of Excellence Awards and nine Best of CASE District VI Awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). 

The CASE Circle of Excellence awards acknowledge superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and deliver exceptional results. The Circle of Excellence competition is international in scope.

The CASE District VI awards showcase best practices in alumni relations, fundraising, advancement services, special events, and marketing and communications among colleges and universities in the district. District VI includes colleges and universities in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.

Missouri S&T received the following awards:

Circle of Excellence grand gold in the Portrait Photography category for a suite of images created to market the Miner Athletics program. The program was also awarded a Best of CASE District VI Award in the Photography: Series or Collection of Related Photographs category.

Circle of Excellence bronze award in the Special Events-Online Alumni Reunions category for the Miner Alumni Association’s Virtual Golden Alumni Reunion. The event also garnered a Best of CASE District VI Award in the Special Events: Online Alumni Reunions category.

Forged in Gold: Missouri S&T’s first 150 years, a 304-page coffee-table-style book that chronicles the university’s history published to commemorate S&T’s sesquicentennial, was recognized in the Design, Publications category.

Alumni of Influence, a commemorative booklet presented at S&T’s Alumni of Influence gala, which is held every five years to recognize Missouri S&T’s most distinctive graduates, was recognized in the Design, Publications category.

Missouri S&T Magazine: Into the Next Century and Beyond, a special issue of S&T’s alumni magazine commemorating the university’s sesquicentennial, was recognized in the Alumni/General Interest category for publications printed once a year.

Holiday Card Campaign, a Miner Alumni Association program to mail cards with ornaments depicting campus landmarks, was recognized in the Marketing: Advertising and Direct Mail category.

150.mst.edu website, launched at the start of S&T’s sesquicentennial to celebrate the milestone event, was recognized in the Marketing: Micro-sites category.

Completion of the Rolla Rising Capital Campaign, a news release announcing the successful conclusion of Missouri S&T’s capital campaign and highlighting donor impact, was recognized in the Writing: News and Feature 1000-plus-word category.

Changing the landscape, an alumni profile story about two Missouri S&T graduates who formed a company aimed at changing the lawn care industry, was recognized in the Writing: Profile less than 1,000-word category.
