Missouri S&T is waiving the application fee for incoming first-year students who plan to attend for fall 2021.

Incoming first-year students and transfer students who apply for admission to Missouri University of Science and Technology for the fall 2021 semester may now do so without paying an application fee if they apply by Dec. 1.

Missouri S&T’s fee waiver applies to first-time undergraduate applicants and transfer students applying for admission to the 2021–22 academic year.

“As students and their families continue to deal with the financial challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are committed to removing as many obstacles as possible to attaining a great college education,” says Missouri S&T Chancellor Mo Dehghani. “Missouri S&T offers an outstanding return on investment that leads to increased social mobility for our graduates. We want to make sure that every qualified student has the opportunity to pursue a degree from our university.”

Missouri S&T graduates earned an average starting salary of nearly $64,000 in 2019, the latest date for which data is available. Graduates with master’s degrees earned an average starting salary of over $80,000, and Ph.D. graduates earned an average starting salary of nearly $86,000. These earnings place S&T among the nation’s top-ranked universities for return on investment.

Earlier this year, Missouri S&T also adopted a test-optional admissions policy that gives incoming first-year students the choice of whether to submit their standardized test scores to the university.
