Stoffer Lecture’s namesake to present 10th annual lecture at S&T

Dr. James O. Stoffer, a Curators’ Distinguished Professor emeritus of chemistry at Missouri S&T, will deliver the 10th annual Stoffer Lecture at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, in Room B-10 Bertelsmeyer Hall on the S&T campus. The lecture is free and open to the public. This year’s lecture is titled “Environmentally Safe Aircraft Coatings.”

Q&A about S&T’s environmental science program

In 2022, Missouri S&T began offering a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. The program, offered through S&T’s biological sciences department, draws on the university’s expertise in science, engineering, humanities and social science fields to help address the projected growth in demand for environmental scientists in Missouri and elsewhere.
