Missouri S&T geologist selected as Fulbright Scholar

It’s a common scene: Someone speaks, but listeners with hearing loss may find themselves asking “What?” or “Huh?” again and again. For millions of people, this happens every day, and it’s something Dr. Parveen Bazard, a Missouri S&T researcher, hopes to improve.

Mines to Megawatts: S&T event to address small modular reactors in retired mines

Could some of Missouri’s decommissioned mines potentially become secure sites for small modular nuclear reactors and help advance the state’s clean energy future? Researchers at Missouri S&T believe so and have a symposium on the topic planned for Tuesday, Aug. 5.
