Missouri S&T alumnus contributes $25 million to university’s new Havener Arrival Complex

Gary Havener, a Texas entrepreneur and Missouri S&T alumnus, has made a historic gift of $25 million to Missouri S&T in support of the university’s new Havener Arrival Complex, a transformation of the entrance to the 154-year-old campus. The project, a major component of S&T’s Campus Master Plan, connects the university’s entry point off Interstate 44 to campus and directs visitors through a grand entrance plaza anchored by two flagship facilities, the Innovation Lab and the Welcome Center.

University completes successful year of fundraising

Missouri University of Science and Technology received $14.7 million in charitable gifts and pledges during the fiscal year that ended June 30.

This total for the 2017 fiscal year is a 37 percent increase over the previous fiscal year, during which Missouri S&T received $10.6 million in gifts and pledges. It also represents a 45 percent increase over the $10.1 million received in the 2012-2013 fiscal year, which serves as a baseline for the university’s strategic goals.
