S&T orchestras to perform first concert of the semester
The Missouri S&T University and Community Symphony Orchestra and the S&T Chamber Orchestra will perform their first concert of the semester at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall. The orchestra will be conducted by Dr. Robert J. Cesario, assistant professor of arts, languages and philosophy.
Sedigh selected to participate in NAE symposium
Dr. Sahra Sedigh, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Missouri S&T, was selected to take part in the National Academy of Engineering’s (NAE) first Frontiers of Engineering Education (FOEE) symposium. She is one of 49 of the nation’s brightest young engineering researchers and educators selected for the symposium.

The new Fitness Center at Missouri S&T will be dedicated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, near the southwest entrance of the Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building. The dedication is open to the public and is part of Missouri S&T’s Homecoming Weekend activities.

A garden created in honor of the late Dr. Gary Thomas, chancellor of Missouri S&T from September 2000 through August 2005, will be formally dedicated at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, in the Brewer Family Atrium in Toomey Hall. The event is open to the public and is part of Missouri S&T’s 2009 Homecoming Weekend activities.
