S&T orchestras to perform spring concert March 11

The Missouri University of Science and Technology University and Community Symphony Orchestra and the Missouri S&T Chamber Orchestra will perform their spring concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 11, in Leach Theater of Castleman Hall, 10th and Main streets in Rolla. The orchestra will be conducted by Dr. Robert J. Cesario, assistant professor of arts, languages and philosophy.

The event is open to participants of all ages from the area.

Area women are invited to learn to wrap traditional Indian saris at Missouri University of Science and Technology on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The Sari Wrap Party will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Southwestern Bell Cultural Center, 1207 N. Elm. St. The event will include henna tattoos for a nominal fee, refreshments and a limited number of saris available for purchase.

Students in custody following minor explosions

Three Missouri University of Science and Technology students were taken into custody by University Police in connection with two minor explosions that occurred outside the Quadrangle residence hall complex on the S&T campus this afternoon (Friday, Feb. 17, 2012). No charges have been filed.
